3. We will help you collect your monies. We do this by several ways,
Pay Pal, Direct Transfer from bank to bank etc...
4. We also sell items on eBay but, if we do this for you,
YOU MUST PAY THE LISTING FEES up front and the
final value fees at the end of the auction.

You would think THIS would be all the fees you/I have to pay, WRONG!
If the customer uses PayPal to pay, they ALSO CHARGE A FEE! Now if the
customer pays by check, cash or money order, there is no fee.
However, almost everyone on eBay uses PayPal and the system works if
you do your homework.
Remember, your pictures and ad are almost everything! Mention the special
things about your item! Brag on it! Make me want it! If your pictures are
great and you ad is great, you will get what your item is worth!!
I was wanting to purchase some land a few years ago that was going to be
sold by auction. I went to the bank and wanted to borrow the money
to make the purchase, BUT, I told them I did not know how much the
land would bring or, how much it was worth. I did not know how much
money I would need! Then the banker looked at me and said a few words
I will never forget, he said and I quote,
"What ever it brings at the auction is what it is worth"!!
The day of the auction I purchased
32 acres and the bank loaned me all of the cost of the land!
I have been to many flea markets and yard sells and I get kinda tickled
when I hear people say they had this item appraised at this much or, they
seen it sell on eBay for this much when deep down inside I know they are
wrong! If some one tells you this, don't walk but RUN away from them!

and do a search on your item. First, you will find out if your item is
even listed and, if it is listed you will see about what it is bringing.
Second, if you do not find your item there, it might be VERY RARE and
worth a lot! A good example of this is my RARE CALIFORNIA BELVEDERE POTTERY!
I did not find one single listing when I did my search!! This is USUALLY a
very good thing!

Another thing to consider, eBay buyers look at the seller's
reputation!! My reputation is GREAT and I intend on keeping it that way.
I am not going to lie to you, sometimes I have lost money and sometimes
I have tripled my investment!! This came from years of mistakes
and my learning curve. The "KEY" to eBay is to win more than you lose!
Also, sellers look at eBay buyers reputation and some will not even sell
to "newbees"! I also have this option, I do not have to sell to someone
with a "bad" buyers reputation and I have even helped get people kicked
off of eBay because of their bad reputation.
However, I do give "newbees" a chance and will sell to them and have helped
several to get started
To other eBay'ers and I, reputation is everything!

Lets talk about shipping. This is critical! You do not want
your item(s) to arrive to their destination broke or damaged! Packing is
everything! And on top of this, you want to keep the package light and
small as possible so that shipping will not be so high, after all, you
want return customers and you do not want any negative feedback! If the
item is a rare unique antique or collectible we sure do not want it
damaged because it may not be replaceable! Make sure your package can
take the "beating" it will receive during shipping! Make sure that
there is ENOUGH PADDING ON ALL SIDES OF THE ITEM! You also want to leave
just enough "slack" so it can move a little and take some abuse from
all sides. Think of a "shock absorber" while packing your item. Below
are some of the shipping companies I use.
Most of the time I prefer to use USPS. On larger, heavier boxes I usually
use Fed ex. I only use UPS when the client requests that I do.
Normally I leave insurance up to the buyer. However, I can make it
a must have if I want to. Use common sense here. Another words, if
the item is a solid piece of steel, insurance probably isn't warranted.
Then on the other hand, if it is a very rare piece of antique pottery
from the early 1800's, you will want to require or at least suggest
that the buyer purchase the insurance for peace of mind.
This brings up another good point. The buyer pays for the shipping!!
Of course, you have the option of paying for it IF you want to.
Most sellers do not pay for the shipping. Another thing that some
sellers do that I do not do is that they charge "handling fees".
Some times these fees are in small print so be careful if you are the buyer!
READ THE WHOLE AD BEFORE YOU BID!! Don't get "burned"!
Yes, there are some "unethical" sellers and buyers out there so be careful.
Has you can see from reading the above, eBay is not an easy way to make
money. Another fee I forgot to mention above is the picture fees.
eBay allows you one picture for free (ya, right, what about that listing fee)
however, if you want more than one picture they charge for that also. There
is yet ANOTHER FEE if you want to use LARGE PICTURES! Do you see your profit
disappearing yet? Well, that is ONE reason I started this web site. I upload
my pictures to the web site and write my ads using HTML linking back to the
pictures on my web site and in this fashion, I can have has many pictures
as I want and as large as I want. If you are going to sell many items on
eBay, this is the only way to go.

Now, I have sold cars on eBay and believe it or not, the buyers actually
flew out here to pick them up. I even had to go to the Air Port to pick
up one person. This is a small price to pay IF you are making some money.
Of course, he paid me to pick him up etc..
Another thing to avoid if you are wanting to make money on eBay and
this is a BIG MISTAKE which I have made in the past is to leave your
self out of the "buying to sell" part. Just because you like that
vase or NASCAR model it does not mean that anyone else will!
You might find your self stuck with that item you thought would
sell so well. KEEP SELF OUT If you want to make money! The "game"
is to buy items that WILL sell as cheap as you can so you can make
a profit when you do sell it.
I made good money on these items! Only BECAUSE my PICTURES and AD were Great!
